A Prayer for America after 250 Years.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray for our nation, I pray every American.
I thank you for the wisdom you gave the founding fathers 250 years ago, and the knowledge they had, I thank you that they applied that knowledge. They knew that you were with them while they fought for their independence, but that you were still with them when they wrote the constitution. I thank you for those amazing men and women you used, to found what we can the United States of America. I thank you for the pilgrims, I thank you that they were brave enough to leave their homeland to practice their faith freely.
I thank you for the pastors, and patriots that have lead this country. I pray that America today would hold onto those values, that we would not continue in our rebellion to you, God, I pray that we would humble ourselves, and seek you again, that we would turn from our sin. I pray that we would speak the truth with a boldness that can only come from the Holy Spirit. I pray that we would open more time in the study or your word, in communion with one another, in worship of You, and in relationship with You. than we do on our own selfish distractions.
I pray for mercy, and correction for the American Church, for we have strayed, please bring us back into your fold. I pray that the American church would not only know the truth and recognize the truth, but HUNGER for the TRUTH that only comes from you. I pray that America as a nation would hunger for truth, Your Truth, and that the American church would be there to witness, to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them everything you have commanded us, and baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I pray that the American church would not fail in the harvest you have brought forth.
I pray for our Leaders in our nation, from those in office at the highest level President Trump and Vice President Vance, I pray for their salvation, and their relationship with You. I pray for their wives, as they support them, please strength them, and give them the wisdom to lead. I pray for those in charge of federal agencies, and state boards. I pray for the governors, congressmen, senators, and legislators. I pray for the mayors, and city council members, and the county commissioners, and school board members. I pray for the teachers, professor, and pastors. Managers, CEOs and anyone in a leadership position.
I pray again for the pastors of the American church, and I pray for their families, their wives, and children. I pray that you would strengthen them, and give them courage to speak boldly. I pray for patience and wisdom as they lead your people. And I pray for the American church, that we would step back into the town square, that we share our faith, your instructions your words. Charlie use to say “its time to tell somebody about Jesus” I pray that we would imitate Charlie the way Paul said “imitate me, as I imitate Christ”.
I pray that the American church would devour your word, new believes and long time believers a like. I pray we would know what your word says, that it would be a light to our path daily, that our faith wouldn’t be on Sunday mornings, but would be everyday and every aspect of our lives.
I pray for the American Family, for moms and dads and children. I ask that you restore not only marriage to what you designed it to be, but that you would restore families to what you designed them to be, and not how we have foolishly tried to recreate what was already perfect.
I pray that in 2026 in America we would have the courage boldness, and biblical literacy America had 250 years ago. I pray that we go back to town squares and local communities. I pray that the church would do what it’s designed to do, be a reflection of your love between believers, and I pray that believers would Know you and Make you Known.
In Jesus Name Amen
